A passionate team of industry experts, data scientists, and engineers working to improve the efficiency of the auto industry.
David Sr. worked at the Ford Motor Company for 30 years before retiring in 2002 as the Director of Retail Development and Strategy. In this role, he worked on improving vehicle distribution efficiency and supporting dealer retail opperations.
Throughout his career, he noticed how hard it was for dealers to choose the right inventory for their lots. It was in David’s short-lived retirement that he came up with the idea for ASV:
What if we used modern data science and software to improve the efficiency of dealer retail operations.
David assembled a team of unique founders to realize this goal—David Jr., Erin, and Sean.
In 2004 the four ASV founders implemented a pilot program with several Ford dealers that aimed to improve performance in their new-vehicle departments.
By the end of 2005, the positive financial impact they had on these pilot dealerships was clear and far exceeded preliminary expectations.
David and his team quickly recognized the broader potential for their approach and expanded their vision to include automotive lot management software, automotive supply chain optimization, and new-vehicle management software to further enhance dealer operations and efficiency.
We’re a team of fixers and problem solvers on a mission to bring modern data science and software to all aspects of the automotive industry.
Our goal is to help everyone in the auto industry make more informed decisions, cut out wasted time, and save money.
The auto industry is full of complex problems—dealer inventory management, manufacturer production and distribution, trades and used vehicles, parts and repair services, global industry evolution and advancement, the list goes on and on.
We want to help solve these difficult problems.
